Practica and Peer Teaching
All of Greystone’s TESOL programs involve practica or peer teaching to give you lots of practice using your teaching skills. In our TESL Canada courses, you will teach ESL students between the ages of 15 and 50. In the Cambridge Young Learners courses, you will teach children between the ages of 2 and 12. In the TKT Certificate, you will have many opportunities to teach your peers. These hands-on teaching opportunities allow you to develop confidence in a classroom, observe experienced teachers, and give you practice planning and delivering lessons, and creating resources and materials. . Putting theory into practice helps everything to ‘click’ and helps you get comfortable with your new skills quickly. The practicums and peer teaching opportunities will prepare you for the ‘real world’ of the classroom.
